• Well, it helped my son prep for the ASVAB after being out of school for 2 years and doing about zero academic work during that time. He did well, and qualified for the job he wanted.
• So my fiancé is using this book to enlist in the Air Force and with him studying it he got a 85 on his practice test and is scheduled for the real one.
• I think this study guide is awesome. As I was looking into it, the practice questions really helped me realize what I knew and didn’t know, what I needed more work on or less work on and the answer explanations really helped me understand it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone studying for the asvab. It really helps!

• This book provides a helpful baseline for what you need to know on the ASVAB. It covers a lot the material that will be on the test, and offers short and direct explanations of the material. Where this book falls apart is in the editing. Numerous typos throughout every section take away from the learning experience, but that isn’t even the worst part. On the practice tests, perhaps the most useful and important part of the book, the answer keys are not correct. They will have the correct solution to a problem, but the answer will be mislabelled. For example, it will say that C is the correct answer when the correct solution was under option A on the test. This is incredibly frustrating and requires the reader to check the answers one by one, often reworking the problem. There were also several answers that were on the whole incorrect. You can buy this book, but take practice tests elsewhere.
• I loved the format of this study guide BUT once I got to the Auto section and was learning about car maintenance, something didn't sound right to me. It claims that the mot common color for Transmission Fluid is PURPLE! Yes, purple! This is not a one time typo/mistake either. On the practice test and in the answer guide, it states MULTIPLE times that the fluid is purple.
  
  Even someone who knows very little about cars thought that didn't sound right so I googled it. "Red. Clean transmission fluid is a dark red, translucent color. Transmission fluid is actually dyed for identification purposes. Over time, the fluid will become darker, causing it to go from its original red to a dark, burnt color due to age and vehicle use." - Pep Boys. This is the case with all other websites regarding transmission fluid. They dye it red and it is CLEAR, otherwise.
  
  I searched thoroughly to see if this maybe used to be the case and that the book had out-of-date information in it. That is not the case! Transmission fluid is not supposed to be, nor ever supposed to have been, purple! The fact that this book was teaching something so basic wrong, and so bizarrely wrong, was a pretty bad sign.
  
  I only hope nothing else major was wrong leading up to that point, as this book had been my main source of studying for the ASVAB. I've sent this one back and am getting Asvab for Dummies...
  
  My guess is that all the people who are giving this book good reviews don't realize there is misinformation in it. DON'T GET THIS BOOK! It will teach you incorrectly and could hinder your ASVAB scores!
• There is a lot of error in this book. example; on page 33 It said that group 8 is the noble gases but it's actually group 18. There is a lot error in the book like this.
• Arithmetic Reasoning has always been a challenge for me. However, in the study guide I was able to do the practice questions and get an answer explanations on all the ones I had wrong. This gave me clarity and an understanding of what I was doing wrong and how to correct it. This is a great study guide and I highly recommend to my friends who are interested in joining the army forces

"I realize this was just a "bonus" book and truly I saw it was only 61 pages so I wasn't expecting a full novel or anything. But this was just...blah. In fact, the last two books in this series have been far too introspective and not at all what I am used to from this author. I fell in love with her books when she first started writing and I guess this is the sign that her series needs to come to an end. I realize she's now writing YA and maybe that's what's taking her focus. Too bad, because she was always an auto-buy, pre-order for me, but I have no desire to read the new stuff if it's all like this."

• Such a sweet story, I wish it was longer. That is the hardest thing with novellas for me is I always want more! If you have read the three Colorado Springs books you already know Landon and Kaylee, they have been dancing around each other for a while. If you haven't read them you don't need to, this is a great story on its own.
  
  Landon is a hunky often broody financial planner. Landon's upbringing probably had a hand in his career choice as his parents and family members always seemed to live paycheck to paycheck or well above their means which landed them in financial trouble. That being said he is also the only one of his siblings to make something of himself which had caused a little resentment in his family.
  
  Kaylee is an artist she owns a studio in Colorado Springs and once a month has a Brushes with Lushes evening where people can come paint, drink some wine and have a good time. Kaylee's life has been the opposite of Landon's her family is well off and she has never wanted for anything in her life expect maybe a mother that wants her to be happy. Kaylee's parents put big expectations on her, not only was she to marry well as to further the family in their social standing they didn't think her art was something she should pursue.
  
  Landon and Kaylee have kept their relationship private and on a friendship basis for over a year now and something has to give. They have become accustomed to each other always being there but never taking that last step to propel them into relationship status. That's about to change.
• Kaylee whom we've met through our the series. She was a divorcee who came from a privileged family but she turned her back on that world years ago. She was still considered as a disappointment in her mother's eyes. She gave art classes at night (Brushes with Lushes) once a month. She knew art, friendship and love, the latter was something she didn't want anything to do with again. She loved her life just the way it was so why couldn't she stop thinking about the sexy as sin Adonis broker, Landon .
  
  Landon, a broker who spent his days with numbers and at night he wanted to relax. The only way he knew was with a woman, he had his sight on a special one. She was beautiful, sassy, independent and her name was Kaylee .
  
  Kaylee and Landon were great at dancing around each other, they both gave in into their mutual attraction once. Bug things didn't work out because of their own misgivings. They remained closed friends even though they wanted something more. But first they had some tough decisions to make regarding what a future together could be like.

  This was the best couple to cap the Colorado Springs series with. The book is more of a novella, but its smooth and sweet, with barely any drama. A slow burn right to home plate.
• I realize this was just a "bonus" book and truly I saw it was only 61 pages so I wasn't expecting a full novel or anything. But this was just...blah. In fact, the last two books in this series have been far too introspective and not at all what I am used to from this author. I fell in love with her books when she first started writing and I guess this is the sign that her series needs to come to an end. I realize she's now writing YA and maybe that's what's taking her focus. Too bad, because she was always an auto-buy, pre-order for me, but I have no desire to read the new stuff if it's all like this.
• I am so excited that our author finally gave us the answer so many have wondered about what... What was going on with Kaylee and Landon. For books and books they have been fluttering around each other and we the readers and of course the Montgomerys and their adopted family have all wondered if they are a couple or not. Do you need to have read any of the other books in this series to "get" this book? No but let me say that if you want a wonderful read I HIGHLY suggest all of the Montgomery Ink series. Note this is a shorter book, a novella so you can enjoy it in an evening with a glass of wine or hot chocolate. Snuggle up in bed and say hello to some of our favorite Montgomery friends in Colorado while we watch the dance of Landon and Kaylee to true love. I can not want to travel to the next city to visit more of Montgomery clan...
• A great short read. I agree with another reader that this a perfect lunch break read. This story is about 2 side characters that have appeared throughout the Colorado Springs series. The focus of this story is Kaylee & Landon. They’ve been dancing around each other in the other stories. With this one, we get their back story, what is going on in their head, and how they really, really like each other. They have great chemistry. Another wonderful addition to the CS series. I laughed, cried, & cheered for these 2. And, was really touched by their compassion & love for each other. For a short story.......it is still packed with all the goodness that Carrie Ann puts in her full length novels. It is why I keep coming back for more.

• Although “Christian fiction” is not something I have read often I found The Pages of Her Life by James Rubart to be a fascinating read which takes a brother and sister on a journey of self-discovery. As a person that has journaled at different points in my life it was strange to think about some of the words written in my journal being changed. The book is engaging and for me was difficult to put down.
• I believe this is my fifth novel i have read by this author. He never disappoints. This is a remarkable story where he brilliantly captures a woman's struggle with family, career, decision and friendship. How he manages to get into the mind of this protagonist is the sign of a great writer. The story moves along quickly and has a wonderful denouement. Another satisfactory Rubart read!
• The Pages of Her Life by James Rubart is such a page-turner that you won't realize how long you've been reading. Engaging and filled with characters that I want to sit down and have a cup of tea and conversation with. This author never fails to tell a fascinating story, and this one has rocketed to the top of his books for me. Each journal entry teaches Allison something new about herself. Do yourself a favor and get a copy of this book. It really makes you think about how you view yourself and the world around you. Love it.
