"The bad boy seduces the good girl... literally! I loved this book! I feel like he didn’t only seduce her but in her own way she seduced him. This was a great plot, and for once I enjoyed that the “drama†was not created by Rhys and Prynne. They were two people completely from different sides of the track that found their soulmate in each other. It was well written and the character developments were spot on! I like that we were given the background on each character and that it was tastefully done in one book instead of spread over multiples. Rhys was dejected by his family for not fitting the mold and Prynne experiences the same effect from her family for different reasons. They found themselves in each other. Great read!"

- Lula Baxter is a new author to me but boy did she hit it out of the park on my first go around. Bestill my beating heart, how I loved this book. I think I am still in shock and awe about their backgrounds. These two people could not be any more different than they are alike. The blurb from this book caught my attention. I was intrigued. Then I got it started reading it and I was sucked in. I was deep into this book that lunch was over and I was so disappointed I had to stop for a bit. I literally couldn't put it down. I was so engrossed that it was over before I knew it.
Prynne is staying at The Sexton Hotel so she can write her novel. She is trying, then out of nowhere she hears music that she can't fathom is playing from next door. Both Prynne and Rhys choose the Sexton for the same reason. The big wall of windows with a view. Rhys is enjoying his say at the Sexton with a beautiful view of the city. When he gets an unwanted knock on his hotel room door from his neighbor Prynne.
Rhys and Prynne are alike and so much different. The is the typical girl next door. She is sweet and an honest to god good girl with a very strict upbring and she just wants to make her own life. Though deep within her there is a bad girl trying to break free. So she cuts ties and leaves. Cutting off her entire family.
Rhys! Oh, melt my panties off me hot. That man. He is a sox jock with his own podcast. He is sex personified as well as this alpha possessive man. When the author talks about his voice I feel like I can feel it myself through the pages. He really does have that bad boy streak as I said. It propels him to be the man he is today. When they meet at that door sparks fly and ping of every available surface. These two both have a past they are trying to escape and get past for different reasons.
I loved these characters they were absolutely made for each other, and the people were great. I loved Prynne’s roommate Shiloh and her co-workers were a hoot. Rhys had a good friend in Donna. I truly loved this book. It was an incredible read. There is so much potential for other books. I would love to get a glimpse into the future after reading the very last chapter. It was great. - Highly entertaining, well written story that grabbed me from the beginning to the end. There is humor, angst and drama with hot chemistry between the Prynne and Rhys. It starts when Prynne books a weekend at the Sexton hotel to write on her romance book and her neighbor turns the music too loud in the next room. She goes and knocks on the door to complain when the door opens with Rhys in his "birthday suit". We learn that Rhys is outgoing, unabashed and a tease, and is a radio shock jock broadcaster and Prynne is virginal who been raised in a family with church values that's on tv. Both have secrets and family troubles they don't want exposed but their relationship gets found out and exposed by the media. Can they survived the fallout in their budding romance? Loved the humor - pink panty photos, Jermaine, and the rest of Prynne friends and the quips on Rhys radio show. I look forward to the next book about Shiloh, Prynne's roommate. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.
- I received an ARC of this book and was blown away...WOW! Lula Baxter takes us on a journey about two people who are total opposites and brings them together in the most unexpected way. I loved that there is an instant attraction between both Prynne and Rhys. Prynne and Rhys have secrets that can ruin their relationship. Prynne is a good girl who wants to be seen and Rhys can do just that. Rhys is a sexy, unfiltered and risqué who is intrigued by Prynne. Their story had me hooked to each page and laughing throughout their journey. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next book. This book is full of fun, laughs, lost of nudity, good girl, naughty boy, family drama, and standing up for what you believe. It's about two people who come from different upbringing who meet at a famous Sexton Hotel in New York that has a reputation. I would give this book more than a five star if I could. This is a hot steamy book. It's brilliant!!
